Auditions for Monkeyman Productions’ THE BANANA FESTIVAL will be held on January 30^th, 2010, from 1-6pm at The Imperial Pub, 54 Dundas Street East, Toronto. The Banana Festival is a collaboration with local playwrights of new, short plays with a geeky, pop-culture vibe:

The Second Last Man on Earth
A post-zombie-apocalyptic love triangle 

-Andrew: Male, 35, slight build
-Maddy: Female, 30
-Jackson: Male, 25, muscular (some stage combat exp. helpful but not required)

Monstrous Invisible
A life of H.P. Lovecraft, with emphasis on the ‘Love’.

-Howard: Male, early to mid-thirties
-Sonia: Female, (early) mid-thirties

Fortress of Solitude
The problems of two little people, one of them the most powerful woman on the planet.

Paul: Male, 25-35
Force Girl: Female, 25-35 

Union members cannot be accepted. All roles are unpaid.

Show dates will be April 16^th, 17^th, 23^rd and 24^th. Rehearsals will begin early in March, though directors may ask their actors to be available occasionally through February for readings of the scripts as they are further developed. A full rehearsal schedule will be determined when the casts have all been selected.

Auditions will be held in the back room on the first floor of the Imperial Pub from 1pm to 6pm on January 30th. Please bring your headshot and resume and have a contemporary monologue prepared. Auditions are open, but appointments are strongly encouraged.
